Odos: Journey To The Cross – FAMILY EDITION
April 3 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
For the Family Edition, we have guides who help explain each station so your younger children can understand. Our goal is to allow the event to be something your entire family can experience together.
ODOS, is a Greek word for Journey, or road. In this case, we are talking about the journey of Christ to the cross. Focusing on the events leading up to the Crucifixion, this is our attempt at creating a rich, multi-sensory experience that reflects the tradition of a labyrinth and liturgical prayer. It has been described as a passion play with no actors, a prayer walk, or a multi-station prayer service. The idea behind it is to immerse yourself in an experience for all senses, allowing them to connect with well-known scripture and passages in a fresh way. The journey is designed to take you to a different place leaving your everyday life behind to meet with God. The journey ends near the foot of the cross; contemplating the silence of Christ’s Death.
We encourage you to come and experience the journey of the cross.
